Shibori: natural dyeing
Shibori is the Japanese way of dyeing textiles. There are countless ways to create a special effect. The effect can be achieved by for example folding, twisting, stitching, or binding the textile. Designer Laura Snijders gave a workshop in this special dyeing technique and taught participants how to stain their textiles (make them colourfast) and what different options there are as natural dyes.
